We Won!

The votes have  been counted and I am very grateful to say that I won.  The results are as follows:

Don Singer:15,996  votes or 61.64%

Sam Irwin:   9,953 votes or 38.36%.

Like most ventures this success is due to many of  you who assisted me in this campaign by doing such things  as cavassing with me, contributing to  my campaign, giving me names of  other persons to contact, or providing me good advice as to how to conduct the campaign and to all of you I say thank you very much.
I am looking forward to again serving the  20,000 plus students who attend Crafton Hills College or San Bernardino Valley College and working with my Board colleagues and  the staffs of the colleges and District to assist these students in achieving their goals, whether that be to transfer to a four-year university,  obtain a vocational certificate which leads to a good-paying job, or  taking a course or two for personal or  professional  advancement.
Again, thank you all for your  help and now it is on to assisting the students and residents of the San Bernardino Community District as a member of the Board of Trustees.

October 7 Campaign Update

With a few weeks to go before Election Day, I wanted to provide everyone with a campaign update.

It is important to me to speak with the voters directly.  I have enjoyed attending many meetings and candidate forums in Redlands and Loma Linda.  I have also walked several precincts in the district, knocked on doors, and heard from voters.  I have also walked my own precinct with our Congressman, Pete Aguilar, who has endorsed me for re-election.  If you would like me to visit your neighborhood, contact me directly.

Our lawn signs are available for your yard or street.  If you would like one, please contact me with your name and address.  I will deliver it to you as soon as possible.

If elected, I will continue to build on this record of accomplishment in the next four years.

My Ballot Statement

Don Singer Campaign Statement

Attached above is my official campaign ballot statement.  Every voter in the community college district will have a sample ballot mailed to them.  This same statement above will appear in the sample ballot statement.

In the next four years, my focus is making more of our local high school students aware of the opportunity to improve their lives – without building up massive student loan debt.  Our affordable community college programs can do just that.

Finally, feel free to contact me to ask me any specific questions you may have about community colleges or SBDDC.  Thank you!
